چکیده
We describe a method to compute the inverse Mellin transform of holonomic sequences, that is based on a method to compute the Mellin transform of holonomic functions. Both methods are implemented in the computer algebra package HarmonicSums.

Computing the Inverse Mellin Transform of Holonomic Sequences using Kovacic's Algorithm
We describe how the extension of a solver for linear differential equations by Kovacic's algorithm helps to improve a method to compute the inverse Mellin transform of holonomic sequences. The method is implemented in the computer algebra package HarmonicSums.
متن کاملNew Type Paley–wiener Theorems for the Modified Multidimensional Mellin Transform
New type Paley–Wiener theorems for the modified multidimensional Mellin and inverse Mellin transforms are established. The supports of functions are described in terms of their modified Mellin (or inverse Mellin) transform without passing to the complexification.
متن کاملGENERAL SOLUTION OF ELASTICITY PROBLEMS IN TWO DIMENSIONAL POLAR COORDINATES USING MELLIN TRANSFORM
Abstract In this work, the Mellin transform method was used to obtain solutions for the stress field components in two dimensional (2D) elasticity problems in terms of plane polar coordinates. the Mellin transformation was applied to the biharmonic stress compatibility equation expressed in terms of the Airy stress potential function, and the boundary value problem transformed to an algebraic ...
متن کاملThe technique of inverse Mellin transform for processes occurring in a background magnetic field
We develop the technique of inverse Mellin transform for processes occurring in a background magnetic field. We show by analyticity that the energy (momentum) derivatives of a field theory amplitude at the zero energy (momentum) is equal to the Mellin transform of the absorptive part of the amplitude. By inverting the transform, the absorptive part of the amplitude can be easily calculated. We ...
متن کاملThe Functional Equivalence of Stable and Unstable Inversions of the Mellin Transform
We use the term “stable” to mean numerical stability, that the formal solution of an integral equation can be well-approximated using standard methods, including but not limited to hypergeometric functions or numerical integration. Thus, valid trial solutions may be found by symbolic integration or computerized numerical integration. We specifically analyze a class of forward problems that can ...
